San Francisco did this a few months ago. I'm guessing the rest of the network will make the change, too. Or maybe Philadelphia will hang on to Comcast for sentimental purposes.

Elsewhere, the Root Sports channels (the old FSNs in Seattle, Denver, and Pittsburgh) have become AT&T Sports.

Did the content change at all? Hosts fired, etc?

Not that I noticed as I only watch games here but no one had any idea it was happening. Turned on the TV one day and said to myself, "self, where is root?".

Just go back to calling it SportsChannel already.

As long as Siera Santos stays, I'm good.

Ran into Jauss at Ohare many years ago. We were both trying to catch a morning flight out. He may be the most stereotypically disheveled reporter type I ever saw in person.

AT&T is indeed buying Time Warner (which is terrible news), so they're trying to brand themselves as a content creator.

No, what happened was that DirecTV owned those RSNs but branded them as Fox Sports, but they must have lost that licensing agreement or something, so they created "Root Sports" as the new brand. Then AT&T bought DirecTV, so they rebranded Root, and now they're buying Time Warner, too.

HEY REMEMBER WHEN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SAID AT&T WAS TOO BIG TO DO BUSINESS AND NEEDED TO BE BROKEN UP INTO SMALLER COMPANIES WHAT HAPPENED WITH THAT
