Well then the Latina nurse who looked after me in the hospital last week must have had chest pains of her own when she left her shift.

Fun times is asking a Muslim female college student to explain why she can't have four husbands if it turns out the first one has a tiny dick.

RIP, Hef.

I think you're confused. The message of Christ was go and sin no more.

What sin are you referring to?

That was John 8 when he saved the women caught in sexual sin from being stoned.

Jesus said that a man that looks lustfully after a woman has committed adultery against her in his heart. There are other teachings where Jesus specifically mentions sexual immorality.

The point is that without the blood of Christ covering a person's sin every single wrong thought, word and deed will be judged by a holy God at the conclusion of each person's life.

Jesus was wrong and dumb.

Would you really want to have a preachy carpenter at your house? That just sounds annoying.

A preachy HVAC guy is bad enough.

The default position for humanity is hell. Jesus Christ is the ticket out of hell for humanity. Someone has to pay the price for the sin of each person. If Jesus doesn't pay for your sin--you do. God's law requires the shedding of blood to atone for the sin of each person. Rather than sending each person to hell God crucified Jesus on the Passover and raised him from the dead. The message of the Gospel is simply that each person is going to die for their sin, but that someone without sin has offered himself so that his followers may be forgiven and not judged for their sin. Those who reject Jesus will be judged on the basis of their deeds.

I always cracked up @ the girls next door (reality show) where hef had his little harem of 3 young/er blondes to show you just how pumpin the dude was.....

...although calling Kendra "dumb as rocks" would likely spawn some hashtag justice against me like #NotAllRocks started by the People for the Advancement of Rocks coalition. (Good god that broad was dumb)

THAT SAID,. I couldn't help but laugh at the guy later in his life when they'd show GND clips on The Soup (RIP) and Joel McHale would come out of the clip next to a still shot of Hef in his boat-captain/admiral/whatever hat and say "I'M A CAPTAIN NOW!!!!!" --
really #PuttingThingsInPerspective, you know? even tho I'd obviously trade my life for his in a heartbeat.... Duh! =]

RIP YOU OLD SKEEVY BASTARD!!! You always provided the Jungian anima (aka archetype / perfect 10) for "creepy old man" --- Godspeed! (You gotta wonder of heaven for him is just waking up ~20-30yrs ago or something, huh? =)

First, you don't know if Hefner rejected Jesus. If you truly believe in the teachings of Christ, than you should be able to understand that Catholicism is not the only way to get to Heaven. Hefner did MANY good things. I noticed you didn't reply to the link I posted earlier in this thread. If you are a man of strong enough faith, you would absolutely reply to this post and read this link;

Saw a lot of Facebook posts by women almost cheering his passing and condemning him for objectifying women and such.
I told my wife that I was going to unlike some of these people, and then she laid into me about how she agrees with them.
 Thankfully the Bears game was just about to start so I just dropped it and watched the game.

TBone, check out the link I posted in response to Mini Assholedrake above. It was very interesting. I had no idea Hef did some of those things.

Christianity teaches that the only way to God the Father is through the blood in the death of Christ. Jesus made it very clear that everyone is dead in their sins and needs to have a spiritual birth of the Holy Spirit in their heart to inherit heaven. There's nothing wrong with good deeds, but they cannot produce forgiveness or make you right with God.

A book that "borrowed" stories from other religions.
