I stopped reading the site regularly awile back, but I've always enjoyed a lot of their content despite not liking Will Leitch much. Always a shame to see a website capable of quality content get shuttered though.

That's too bad. I liked a lot of stuff from Sports on Earth, even if they got into navel-gazey basketblogger stuff a lot, but that'll happen when you hire writers from The Classical.

Joe Posnanski managed to escape to NBC and then MLB.com. After he left SOE, I didn't see any reason to continue going to that site.
