I never went to the tavern, but when I worked out that way, it was a definite stop in our rotation of places to go to. Perfect mom and pop pizza place, and I never had a pizza I wasn't impressed with... they know what they are doing there.

I will award redemption points if this pizza place declined to hang up framed photos of The Sopranos, Goodfellas, Godfather, etc. That’s generally the kiss of death.

They had photos of family members (I assume) up -- you know those frames that have matting to let you put like 12 pictures in various ovals and rectangles? They had a bunch of those. I don't recall any mob type stuff up there.

All those pictures are a staff and regulars from over 25 years. Some Christmas parties (good times) and a couple floods from when the DuPage river over ran the banks. Outside of a Kramer jigsaw puzzle nothing on the wall is commercial.

Before the touchtunes there was just 50&60s pop hits on the jukebox.
