anyone listening to this ? nort has jessie jackson on talking about getting the cubs to put up an ernie banks statue. check me if i'm wrong, didn't murphy talk about this 3-4 wks ago ?

classic nort, last time he interviewed jessie, he supposedly grilled him about the imus comments and how jessie never defends whites, now today he is jessie's best buddy. see nort aint no bigot cause he is jessie's friend and wants a statue of ernie banks. good spin job by bebe.

I think the Cubs should have an Ernie Banks statue, too. Finance it with the revenue the Cubs made by whoring out the dugout roofs to Chevrolet.

It is fucking funny that Pappy is taking on this cause. This was Murph's idea. Murph's been a Banks guys for a long time. His hero as a child. Now Pappy steals this idea from Murph to get his name out there. The Score's mentioning the "Jesse Jackson & Pappy Ernie Statue movement" on their updates.

There should be statues for Brickhouse, Banks, Williams, Santo, and Sandberg, in addition to Harry. Maybe Hartnett?
