Liotta. he was not low-t.

his greatest performance was clearly in "field of dreams".

From as far back as I could remember, I wanted to be a gangster.

Vinnie was in charge of the tomato sauce. I felt he put in too many onions, but it was a good sauce anyway. Johnny Dio did the meat. He didn't have a broiler, so Johnny did everything in pans. He smelled up the joint something awful and the hacks used to die.

They always bragged about cutting the onions so thin in the pasta, but what a waste of time

Liked Liotta in Many Saints of Newark in the dual role.

Excellent in Heartbreakers; may impact my planned sequel with Jennifer Love Hewitt in the Sarandon role, but I’m sure I can write around it.

For those of you unfamiliar with the remarkable 80s movie Something Wild, I suggest renting it. An early Jonathan Demme film, it is a minor masterpiece that serves as a critique of the false nostalgia characteristic of Reaganism and the 80s zeitgeist more broadly (as exemplified by another film that Liotta acted in, Field of Dreams). Liotta gives a remarkable performance as a menacing, unpredictable psychopath, and Jeff Daniels and Melanie Griffith are quite good in it as well. Highly recommended.

RIP to Ray Liotta. He was a hell of an actor.

Damn! Goodfellas is as close to a perfect movie as I have ever seen. I wouldn't change a single frame of that movie.

I remember him putting in a good performance as a real creepy guy in Unlawful Entry with Kurt Russell. Obviously very good in the gangster movies and Field of Dreams.

Apparently Cocaine Bear is one of the last movies he did. Currently in post-production. I think I am going to have to check it out after reading a brief synopsis...

It tells the story of a drug runner whose plane crashes with a load of cocaine that's found by a black bear, who eats it.

Cocaine Bear is an upcoming American horror film directed and produced by Elizabeth Banks and written by Jimmy Warden. It stars Keri Russell, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Ray Liotta, Alden Ehrenreich, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Kristofer Hivju, Margo Martindale, Christian Convery, Brooklynn Prince, and Scott Seiss. It is inspired by the true story of an American black bear that ingested a duffel bag full of cocaine in 1985. It will be one of the last films starring Liotta and the first to be released after his death in May 2022.

I understand why Sam Hurd got a biopic but Ray Liotta seemed to be a poor choice to play him.

Paulie hated phones. He wouldn't have one in his house. He used to get all his calls second hand, then you'd have to call the people back from an outside phone. There were guys, that's all they did all day long was take care of Paulie's phone call.
