I've been passing it on the Metra weekly and it just pains me to see the place each time. Its going to be a real eye sore when the Bears don't end up moving there.

I'm hopeful that the eventual buyer will put up some nice houses and condos. I don't think a full-scale The Glen is really possible because my concern with the whole Bears Zone was that it would cannibalize the actual downtown Arlington Heights and then both would fail.

I wish it had just stayed a racetrack.

I think there's still an outside chance it returns to being a racetrack. Of course it would look nothing like the majestic second Arlington Park. It would likely be a half-mile harness track with limited seating capacity connected to a massive casino.
