Killed off by Sapporo after they ran it into the ground. Oldest craft brewery in the US.

Anchor Steam and their Christmas ale were both solid beers.

This was really depressing to read. Anchor was a nice island of good beer back in the late 90's when compared to some of the microbreweries that were exploding at the time.
