This team was like the movie GREASE

Summer loving had me a blast
Summer loving happened so fast

Image

Then September rolled around and it was back to school and the hard knocks of life.

Zuko knocked up Sandy and she had a kid before graduation.

Zuko dropped out of HS and had to take a job at the local refinery to make ends meat.

Image

Zuko couldn't handle the life responsibilities and social expectations of a white male for 1959 and skipped town on Sandy and his kid. Told Sandy he was moving across country.

There's no social media or facebook back then so Zuko just moved a few towns over and started a new life.

There was no such thing as child support so Sandy ended up working 3 jobs and turning tricks at the local VFW to support the child.

The whole process repeats itself with Zuko Jr and Zuko III and is identified decades later as toxic generational cycle.

The only person who becomes a successful functioning adult with a steady job and family and GETS THE LAST LAUGH!

Per Mac's last podcast it is 4/1 at betrivers for the Cubs not making the playoffs.

Problem is no one wants that 3rd spot. I dunno, maybe the Reds will get hot.

Games left to play.

This negativity from Cub fans is unbecoming.

Oh well. They exceeded my expectations and made for interesting baseball st the end of September. I see bright spots for the future. Could be worse.

I have a draft question. Who has the tiebreaker between the Cubs and the Padres?

I also found it interesting that the Cubs lost just about all of their biggest games of the year recently.

It was a fun season. It was nice wanting to watch games into late September. They did better than I thought they would. I was happy. And I feel ok about next season.

I find it interesting that Sox fans have to look at the Cubs to find anything interesting about Chicago baseball.

They are having a fun time. They know it will be years before their team has a chance to play meaningful games in September.

No more interesting than Cubs fans spending hours posting about the Sox while their own team is playing .600 ball
