For my money the best college coach that ever lived. I wonder what Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley will have to say about him. Barkley more than Jordan because he cut Barkley from the 84 Olympic team and as I remember it had mostly to do because he was out of shape. I think that experience led Barkley to really lose weight once he got to the league

We watched them twice a week during the season in the early 80s on the Indiana channel that we somehow got. Knight was the best. It was always an event to play Indiana. He and Lou Henson had some great verbal battles, but he was pretty nice to Lou when Lou retired.

Coached a lot of future coaches, too. Only downside is that he went to OSU.

They should have won it in 1993, too.
