I personally think that getting rid of Dominick Hasek and keeping Ed Belfour will work out for the Hawks.

For the record, they each have their name engraved on the Stanley Cup the same number of times, once.

So really the only one who it didn't work out for is the Blackhawks.

Yep. In fact the only trade in about the past 15 years that has worked for the Blackhawks was last summer's 3-way Havlat deal. The Hawks sent Mark Bell to the Sharks for Tom Priessing, and then turned Priessing around to the Senators for Havlat and Smolinski. Neither Bell nor Priessing are with their destination teams anymore, as Bell was traded to Toronto, and Priessing signed as a free agent in LA. And of course on top of that, there's Mark Bell's too-drinky, too-drivey incident which he will be paying for with a 15 game suspension this year, and a 6-month jail term at the conclusion of the season. Meanwhile, Havlat, when healthy, is a game-breaker, and produced at about a point-per-game rate last year with little to no help around him.

Isn't this thread in the wrong section?

Sorry, I just can't control my Blackhawks fever in just one section.

Yes.

Incorrect. It started in the right section and was hijacked. You can't blame that on the thread, just the replies. A cood conversation never finishes where it starts.

Fred Arbanas, tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs from 1962-1970, played part of his career with a glass eye due to a serious eye injury.
