Is having him on and giving takes “like going to grad school” or is Briggs more like a certificate program?

It is unbelievable the amount of money the Score is paying all of these so called football experts, yet they won’t send Grote to away games unless it is close enough to drive. Seems odd. At least we can all be thankful that Goff is nowhere to be heard.

It is interesting. He only covers home games or games close enough to where he can drive too.

I don't think they have changed much over the years. Bernstein covered the Bulls in the 1990's, and they allowed him to travel for the NBA Finals, but they didn't have him travel for most of the road games. It doesn't stop Bernstein from pretending he has all sorts of inside information. I don't think Goff did much also than attend home games.

Can only imagine the massive amount of football information that was being dropped by these three Bears bigfoots.

You get more in 30 seconds from a post concussed and disinterested Jurko than you would get from these three.

Did anyone hear the last segment Monday around 5:50? Holmes and Rahimi talked about their nominations for
"Broadcaster of the Year" or something. Supposedly, Holmes, Rahimi, Pat Hughes, Adam Amin, Dion Miller and a
couple others have been "nominated" . They then took a call from Adam Amin, and the 3 of them proceeded
to compliment each other for the next 2 minutes. They also made sure to explain you can't nominate yourself, and
only your peers can nominate you, they were all very proud of this  It was a very bizarre and cringe segment.
Apparently Rahimi is a previous recipient of the award? It's such a valuable award that NBC figured they could go
on without her.

Surprised Larry did not tell everyone he is removing himself from consideration so that when he doesnt get the award it will appear as if it was his call.

Unfortunately I missed this. I turned on the station on the way home yesterday heard Larry and Leila and went to ESPN. I have no idea who green lighted this pairing the day after a Bears game. Almost like they are trying to drive away listeners. This is a Black Friday/Christmas pairing at best. Larry is such a creepy, unentertaining, and all around downer of a host that he makes Silverman tolerable.

Larry did give the sarcastic "I'm not worthy" bit and "I'm just happy to be nominated", you could tell he was just looking
for backhanded compliments. It was all very odd.

Adam Amin also shared that since he was in Seattle doing NFL sunday, the Bulls gave him the week off.

Waste of money on Briggs. Mulley asked him a question about the stadium deal and this lazy ass says, "It's hard enough to report on the games. I don't really pay attention to that stuff."

WSCR was on a commercial break so I switched to the score and heard this crap. PTFB before he could finish his thought.

Show is garbage.

Laurence, as the kids say, is cringe

A couple weeks ago in transition he was going on about Adam Amin's DJ sidegig, because he himself knows what it takes to be a good DJ and talked shop with Amin on it. "Guys, He's really good."

I get that the Bears are shit, but I really thought these pairings would work because they didn't have to work and Bears Talk would dominate the station for months. But Laurence in particular can't help himself. At least Bernstein knows his hobbies are uninteresting so he doesn't talk about them too much. And at least Spiegel's hobbies are interesting.

I heard the "Illinois Sportscaster of the Year" segment. Apparently Leila won it last year. I am wondering what the criteria is for this honor. Mr. Holmes is so vanilla and is much less than dynamic so I wonder why he qualifies? Longevity on the air? Should he be in the same league, the same category as Adam Amin? Thete are people on this board that seem better qualified.

I believe Laurence has taken complete control now that he has been given the afternoon show after threatening Mitch that he better put a black in that position after Goff, the dumbass, made another career suicide decision by turning Mitch down. Hallelujah that Goff is so stupid. I’m positive that Larry had it all planned out once Parkins left that he and Goff would take over afternoons as the Holmes and Goff show and Spiegs would either be fired on move to middays. But Goff fucked that up by being a stupid bitch. Now Larry is even more disgusting as he thinks he is the king of all sports media and Spiegs has seemingly just given up.

The Scores backup guys as a group are much more listenable than the regular Score trash hosts. Basic non woke sports talk. None are fake wordsmiths but get their point across without the seemingly endless blah blah blah monologues and boring talk between two co-hosts.

I used to love the post thanksgiving shows back in the day. North almost got himself kneecapped for outing a bookie by his name and place of business back in the day on the day after thanksgiving.

Matty and Larry just had Jaylon Johnson on and conversation got to how now the whole Bears organization is black except for Jack Sanborn and they will clean up the mess the white people created. What a bunch of racist clowns. And to me Jaylon Johnson is most overrated cornerback there is. How many times was he penalized in Minnesota game for PI?

Jaylon Johnson needs to STFU. He was happy to rip Eberflus…maybe Eberflus should have talked about JJ’s two PI penalties last week.

Kevin Warren will invariably leave the Bears worse than he found them. Which ethnicity will clean up his mess?

Weasels S & LH asked leaky speaking filtered Jaylon Johnson all leading questions hoping he misstepped and was too honest to create another controversy feather in their hat.

Larry has completely taken control of the show. Every segment is scripted and Larry has to make the point that he was right in every segment. And of course he has to name drop and make sure everyone knows that he knows everyone and has the best contacts. He will also inject race into nearly every conversation. Spiegs has just rolled over and let’s Larry drive everything and constantly agrees with everything Larry says. It is very strange and pathetic. The end of the show is extremely cringey when Larry says some sickening shit about thanking the listeners for their love and they will try to pay it back in kind tomorrow. What does that nonsense actually mean?

unlike people like Bernstein, who talks out of both sides of his mouth about listeners, I think Sir genuinely appreciates his audience

Lawrence is quirky, but he is a good guy and a hard worker.

The Bears actually managed to hold Justin Jefferson in check which is a bit of an accomplishment. You want to try and force the Vikings to beat you with Jordan Addison, which they obviously wound up doing but Jaylon did well in that game.

The part about the Bears being a DEI pit? Yeah well it’s pretty grim. Hard to argue there. George and Warren have taken over hiring at every level and if you’re not black you have no business even applying.
