"Are you threatening me?"

Also, for the record, I thought smarmy meant one thing but was surprised with its actual definition. Are you sure you meant smarmy? Kudos on spelling contentious right, though.

No , why would I threaten you ??? Smarmy means smug and that's not to say your a bad guy just the way you come off on the radio . Slapnuts said you were a very good guy so with that ringing endorsement why would I think other wise....

The Beavis reference was a joke. I know you weren't threatening me.

Spaulding has kind things to say about you as well, so that goes a long way with me, too. SSE is a good man and obviously a fine judge of character...

Now before we're accused of going homo for each other, let's end this mutual admiration society.

Even though he was hard to understand and sounded like he had something stuck in his throat, "Wild Bill" always gave the hosts, dating all the way back to Chet Coppock and "Coppock On Sports" back in the day, quite a laugh whenever he called in.

Well that stinks. :(

I found his calls to Roe Conn to be funnier pound-for-pound than when he would call the sports stations ... a man for all radio seasons.

I just read this. RIP Bill. Besides making me want to always clear my throat after hearing you, I always found your calls amusing and you will be missed.

Gone too soon.

Here's a "classic moment" with Wild Bill on the old Sports Jeopardy.

I don't know when it happened, but Mike North had a call set up with a radio station from New York and Wild Bill was on the call for some reason. Wild Bill as I remember it was throwing out some great lines that had everyone in both booths rolling. Wild Bill was really funny when his speach was as fast as his mind worked.
