I initially thought it was odd that he said "Best of luck -- you're terrific." as there doesn't seen to be any reason to wish her luck, but he may have meant it sarcastically. I wouldn't blame him. It was short and to the point. Why “deserve”. I feel like “earned” would be a better word, And if she had used that, I’d completely agree that she has earned that ballot. When she says “deserve” she comes across as someone who, no matter how she got there, because she’s there, it should be hers. She comes across as an over entitled child here. Just bad optics. |

I don’t really care and don’t plan on lambasting him on Twitter, but none of you guys think it’s just a little bit silly it took him 6 days to do this? If that’s all you are going to write (which is absolutely fine), just be done with it already. I don’t quite get his thought process. Whatever, unfortunately the damage has been done. Since Covid I’ve listened to him and Parkins. Disappointed it’s done over a joke that wasn’t funny. |

He probably waited on the advice of counsel. He didn’t want to admit guilt/cause until they figured out his payout. My guess is they quickly settled this, and now he can publicly apologize. |
