i believe if this charity drive took place in 2014, there would be way less cynical & sarcastic posts.

i listened to parkins a bit on the way home last night and he's still pushing his social theories. chicago's image around the world - including his visit to israel: yesterday - al capone...rat-tat-tat. today: minority criminals...rat-tat-tat. liquor stores...riff raff. poverty is the driver of crime. from what i understand, arab and east indian grocery entrepreneurs are giving up serving the disadvantaged communities due to violence and insurance costs.

eliminate the parkins swirl, i do hope austin gets one more grocery store. hopefully, permanent.

Yes, but why is THIS particular charity being intensely scrutinized by certain posters? Maybe these posters have raised issues with other charities on this bored in the past but I haven't seen them scrutinize those charities with the vigor we are seeing here. I don't know what Anthony Rizzo's charity does either, but I would guess that it's mostly bullshit too. A ton of charities are wine and cheese events for donors, fat salaries for executives, and zero impact.
