I think Spiegs is gone by year's end.

Parkins came off like a douche to Spiegal. I mean if you hate Spiegal I guess that's cool, but I don't really like Spiegal and it was still annoying.

I'm not totally sure but it sounded like on the last Spiegel and Goff show that Spiegel said that him and Parkins talked for like an hour and it was a good conversation. It sounds like they didn't really talk before he was hired.

Basically, it sounds like Parkins is the future of the station and Spiegel needs to get in line and deal with it.

Parkins can probably hold down mid days by himself. Mitch will look golden ridding himself of Terry's and Matt's salary while also have Parkins at below market. They may even be able to overcome that dead weight Cub contract with all the savings

I totally got that feeling. When Goff said in transition that he and Spiegs didn't talk until the light went on, well that just shows Matty's commitment to excellence. The fact that Parkins came in with several pages of show outline notes is evidence that he is prepared. He knew the Bears turnover stats right away and in the context of the Bears signing a free agent defensive back. It's nice to have a guy with his ducks in a row.
