Its embarrassing for a member of the media to act like this towards one of the local teams. Even Bernstein's sycophantic rambling about the Cubs is really meant for Theo Epstein, not the franchise itself.

It's ok to do this if the team helps you get ratings bonuses.

They do not have this approach to the Bears, who are on their sister station, and the White Sox were the butt of jokes for 10 years (nothing wrong with that btw).

I'm not sure it really helps ratings to be a stooge for the Cubs and fawn over them incessantly, or to call them a dynasty after one title. This is just blatant fanboyism, Parkins wasted no time starfucking Maddon the instant his hiring was announced.

Surprised no one has mentioned that Parkins is solo and will be the rest of the week. It was ok at first but I switched off after 10 minutes

It's telling that they don't try Rozner or a partner.

I don't listen regularly, so no clue if this was pre-planned vacation, or sick days or suspension
