Tuned in yesterday for a bit and Parkins was definitely driving the show. Spiegel apparently is out today.

Don't know the contract situation, but I can't see Spiegel being there before the year is over.

I tried listening for a while today. The topics were:

1. CTE
2. What would you do if you own the lottery?
3. Some social issue. He said he knows some people don't want social issues with their sports but this is really, really important. PTFB.
4. When I tuned back in he was talking about Speigel's farts and how his place smells like dog.

Why is someone who has been there a less than a month doing solo shows? That seems odd since established hosts there don't fly solo very often.

We went over this Monday...he needs the rest of the week off so Tributosauraussususss can become Poco.

Did Spiegel get a dog? I guess I missed that. Interesting. Parkins seems ok to me, he does seem to have an air of
self importance about himself and certainly doesn't seem like there is much chemistry between him and Spiegel. The
Purple People Eater really seems to get annoyed that lil' Danny doesn't have the proper amount of musical knowledge,
which really has little bearing on the show. Normally I would say that Spiegs would be looking elsewhere for a new gig,
maybe even out of town but I think his options would be extremely limited since he very likely would want to stay near
his son.

Hearing him solo today he reminded me of a combination of Speigel (somewhat smarmy tone of voice) and Bernstein (overall attitude and "important" social issues that need to be discussed).

He's the assistant PD at the SCORE or something like that. It's not cool to out anybody, but especially management.

I haven't minded these solo shows. The guy knows how to drive a show and he has a decent radio voice. Throw someone funny with him and you might have something.
