Speigel was saying how today is Parkins' last day of "freedom" before he gets married (last "radio day" of freedom as I assume he is getting married on Saturday and will be off the next two days). Parkins said he got some marriage advice from Bernstein yesterday and Speigel said he must have gotten it from his wife, the wedding planner. Then he added he must have gotten whatever ideas he had about marriage from her because Joe Sheehan hadn't written about marriage lately.

Score 1 for Big Purple.

Spiegel wanted to go after Bernstein for the Kane stuff, but he wimped out. If he sees the writing on the wall that he's done, then the last few months could be interesting.

Can't Do it is quickly becoming my favorite segment on The Score.

The best question asked was to Spiegel:

"If Mitch came in today and said he had second thoughts about the show and would replace Parkins with Rozner, but only if you okayed it, would you?"

hesitation

Parkins "The delay in response isn't doing anything for my confidence."

Spiegel "Gotta be honest. Yes."

A few minutes later, Parkins took a shot an Spiegel and said "yeah, but my contract is longer than yours."

These two are not going to last. Combustible. Can't wait for a Mac/Tiny esque on air blow up.

I think if Joe Sheehan wrote an article about the merits of shaving your head and eating only Jell-o for the rest of your life, Bernsie would oblige.

Yikes, this makes me think of the Dave Chapelle skit "When keeping it real goes wrong"

Speigal could have answered he was happy with Parkins, but he chose to keep it real... Six months later he loses his job and is kicked out of tributisaurus... All because he decided to keep it real
