I really feel this should have been the lineup. Both bring out the best qualities in each other. Spiegel has good hockey thoughts. Rozner relates to much of "Terry's base". Rozner is a MUCH better host away from Bernstein. When he is with Bernstein he tries to mimick him with all the social/liberal bullshit which just isn't necessary.

Mitch has no fucking clue how to manage his internal talent.

I have also felt this would be the best pairing. What I do not know though was if Barry wanted it. He may be happy to be a columnist with the freedoms and perks that brings.

I'm pretty sure he would have wanted it. I believe his kids are nearing college age. I doubt anyone in that stage would turn down a full time host salary.

They have good chemisty, sure, but it's not worth it to try and redeem Spiegal as host by catering to him. It's like keeping Cutler while continually changing head coaches and offensive coordinators.

For most I agree. He does have a full time job though and I think he likes his time flexibility for golf. He has alluded to traveling being ok in the past too.

Rozner is the shits. If the only sport you can talk about is hockey, your career is going to be short. His baseball knowledge is so so, thinks he knows more just because he is buddies with Maddux, Sandberg, and 'Sac.

Barry's baseball knowledge is a little better than so-so. He can speak well of the entire league, and is well versed in the game's history as well.

When it comes to whether or not Barry wanted the show, I doubt Spiegs would continually bring it up if Barry didn't want to be considered. Why would he beat the dead horse if the guy he wanted didn't want him?

Rozner is fine in short doses of fill in duty. Full time daily listen I would pass.

The Bulls GM will be on with them at noon. Could be interesting, especially given Spiegel's IDGAF attitude lately. Hopefully he asks some tough questions.

That's funny. Goff was going off about how he was a coward and would never come on the station yesterday.

That may be because Spiegs said he was on MVP twice in one day recently.

First question right out of the gate was asking him to explain what the organization's plan is.

Spiegs asked him if he could really build a championship team while trying to stay competitive during the rebuild.

Questioning trading McDermott so soon after giving up as many assets as they did to acquire him. Also asked why he didn't develop with the Bulls.

Gar kept talking about the young players they have, Spiegs brought up that they have 5 point guards who cannot shoot after Gar spoke excitedly about Grant and the kid from OKC.

Barry asked about Portis's statement that his role wasn't communicated to him by Fred.

I'm at work and my lunch hour just ended, I'll try to add more later.

Good for Spiegs.

David Kaplan threw Gar softballs last week, which is hilarious considering how vocal of a supporter of Thibs he is and how much shit he talked about the front office when they fired him. But Kaplan is all talk and will kiss anyone's ass for a quick buck.
