I love his defense of Toews, "He has to be hurt." The past several years when Toews wasn't filling the stat sheet it was always injury or his linemates. The thing I learned yesterday while listening is that neither of these two has a comedic bone in their body. Spiegs was trying to coax a funny anecdote from his Disneyland adventure about 40 year old men working counters at Disney--something a great improv talent like Carolla could riff on for 20 minutes--but it just came off as slightly elitist and rather pointless. Parkins wasn't much help either, as he couldn't help turn the story funny or come up with his own amusing vacation/Disney story. The entire bit went nowhere, they threw to a break and a Chicago Baseball Schedule Update. Would it kill these guys to take an improv class at Second City? |

Rozner must work ridiculously cheap. It can be the only explanation as to why he has infiltrated the radio and TV airwaves of this city. He sucks the life out of any topic he gives his opinion on. |

I should caveat this by saying that my sports radio listening is probably down to maybe 3 hours a week at this point. But I hear JDC on my weekend trip to and from Jewel and it makes me want to jerk the wheel into a god damn bridge abutment. |

Rozner and Rosenbloom are good fill-ins who would drive you insane as full-time hosts. I'm surprised they've never been paired to do hockey talk on random winter evenings when there's play-by-play later in the night and Leery is off teaching a course on hoverhands or something. |
