Work post:
I loved Mac & Spiegs. Hell, I loved being the "The" in The Danny Mac Show. I loved Spiegs and Mannelly. I eventually deeply loved Spiegel and Goff. But hey, that's me; I get off on finding ways to make partnerships work, & then I actively choose to be happy and passionate. Hopefully it rubs off. The first couple months of me and Parkins were weird; he was super eager and competitive, I was grumpy and sometimes defensive. The tension sucked. But that shit is behind us. We like each other, accept our different styles, and are finding our balance. Principally, we're having a good time and pushing each other with a sense of fun and curiosity. If you listened, hated us, & went away: come back a few times and hear the chemistry. The flight miles have done us good. I knew it would evolve; I learned patience on radio tandems from Dan McNeil.

yes, the heartfelt drop in the ratings. Change #5 of the mid-day slot is going to be him. Not another new partner.

Find something else to "get off on" because you're 0-4 in that department, and that's just as far as radio goes. You're 0-5 if you include your marriage.

Rarely have I heard him on the radio and thought "That guy seems happy and passionate." I usually think "That guy sounds like a condescending ass."

That is a guy you want as your partner: temperamental and defeatist when times are bad but cheery when times are good. He is like a crazy girlfriend.

I am gonna guess, someone just figured out his contract needs to be renewed. If this were the case, he would stop with that band shit.

He's walking around the ESPN window studio in a sandwich board sign promoting Spiegel and Parkins.

It's pretty funny.

I'm guessing everyone got the memo at the station that Parkins isn't going anywhere and it is up to them to adjust.

Will Holmes continue to "refuse" to associate with Parkins?

I usually catch more of this show than I had planned, and I'll say that there is decent chemistry now. It's actually not a bad show...at times, it's the closest thing to the old B&B, quite frankly. They'll actually play drops (!) and actually argue with each other, bring different opinions.

What the hell? Did Spiegel lose a bet or something?

Love The KapMan in the background.

Hey sugartits, it looks like you could use a nap. Why don't you take a load off and curl up out there with a MyPillow?

Parkins just said Spiegel is wearing a human billboard. Eww...

Yeah, I heard when they made the bet but I don't remember what it was about. Probably the NBA finals in some permutation.

Kap just had Parkins on CSN, so I don't think the blood between them is too horrible.

Oh that's right. Spiegel took three guys (I think it was LeBron, Curry, and ???) and gave Parkins the field.

Another reason why though you may not like his radio schtick, Kap is a pretty good dude. Can you imagine any of the fragile pussies at the Score having anyone from the competition on their TV show if they had one ?

If this was reversed and an ESPN employee was doing that outside a Score studio, would Danny B call the cops or Larry threaten them with violence?
