Leery in for Spiegel and Parkins today.

He has a theory that it seems like the addition of some players to the Cubs' roster and the subtraction of other players from the Cubs' roster might be a reason they are not performing as well as they were expected to this season.

This reminds of years ago when he said he had figured out why Orlando Pace was not playing as well as the Bears had hoped when they acquired him. He actually teased this. Turns out, Leery had deduced that Pace had been in the league for 13 years at that point, his skills had deteriorated, and he was not as good as he was when he was younger and in his prime.

Sherlock Holmes, indeed...

Schuster was doing the " biggest busts in Chicago history" show this morning. Enthralling.

Tad, I laughed out loud at that thread title and the ensuing story. Nice job.

We are so lucky Leery didn't get away.

You mean the great Lerry has to be in on a National Holiday to talk sports?

I cannot believe he is standing for this.

I bet he will be in the hallway tomorrow over this travesty

This point should not be lost. Sir is a 15 or so year employee of the station and he is working on 4th of July. I doubt they forced him to work, which means he volunteered...a newlywed, with a wife who has summers off IIRC.

The Cubs have had 6pm games for the last week or so. So he's been off for a week. I think he can do the holiday. Plus he mostly does half hour shows anyway. He spends plenty of time with the wife. More then she would want I'm sure. If she is off for summers then he spends 3 months with her from morning until he has to go in for a half hour show.

Nobody gets that much time with their wife.
