I tune in at 10:10 AM to hear Parkins lecturing the audience:

"Have members of the Black Lives Matter movement committed acts of violence and looting in the name of their cause? Yes, they have. But you can't lump the small percentage of people who have done that in with the rest of the group, and to compare them to White Supremacist groups..."

Followed by Spiegel saying "Some opinions should be shut down. They are not OK."

If I want to hear this type of conversation I know where to go to find it, and I don't expect them to be talking about Mitchell (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky or the Cubs' playoff push.

PTFB.

Spiegel said illogical sports opinions lead to white supremacist political thought. Parkins pretty quickly called that idiotic in a polite way.

Spiegs also ended last segment by saying he couldn't live with himself if he didn't come on the air and denounce the Nazis very loudly. Good to know.

I believe the distinction is in the stated purpose. One is fair treatment by cops, the other is supremacy.

I wouldn't compare the two groups either. I'm just pointing out the difference between judging people on beliefs and actions. You can have all the retarded beliefs you want. Just don't drive a car into a crowd of people or blow up a pizza parlor with a suicide vest.

Because if he didn't people would have thought he was a Nazi sympathizer?

That is beyond stupid.

When I stop at Lowe's on the way home I hope each of the employees personally denounces Nazis to me or else I will assume they are Nazis themselves.

I'd say 50%.

Home Depot might have 100%, though.

That is the feeling MANY have.

Even some who post here.

If you don't first say you denounce Nazis, any statement you make is moot.

Kap ( who is Jewish) somehow manages to run a sucessful daily sports show with zero mentions of Nazis , BLM, transgender people or Donald Trump. I'll take the Corvette and name dropping anyday.

I'd like to start off by saying I denounce Nazism... but Kyle Schwarber is gonna need to go to the American League before he will ever make an impact again.

Yeah, this has been a rough 2 hours for the show. Between the non sports talk, and Spiegel talking about shit from a week ago. In my world, when you get back from vacation, you shouldn't give us your shit opinion from a week ago. If it comes up in the discussion, ok, but to purposely go back to give opinions is ridiculous.

All the criticisms of Kap are spot on. And yet, I am almost exclusively ESPN 1000 during his time slot. I just sample Goff and Bernsie on the way home from work but never in the office. As I keep saying, we have absolutely horrible choices throughout the day. M&H is the best with Kap somewhat acceptable.

There is no way I am listening to social commentary from sports radio guys. The big problem is there is no diversity of thought from the guys doing it, so you might as well turn on MSNBC.

These guys are under qualified to give sports opinions. It's the height of arrogance that they talk about social issues.

Parkins isn't bad or insufferable about it. He was pretty much just going along with it while Spiegs got all his whining out of his system.
