Did the Score have normal programming on NYD? I totally missed that and would have thought they would be running college football broadcasts or replays of the Cubs.

I used to love regular programming on holidays in my yout. I'd listen to Dahl cook up a turkey during a workout before sitting down to my own dinner.

Not sure about the whole day's schedule, but Bernstein worked NYD because, as he had announced the prior week, it was going to be a big day for the Bears. So to his credit, he came in.

They had Gabriel and Hub in Morning. I believe it was then Parkins and Spiegel then Dan and Herron that day.

It is to his credit.

I'm a very big Bear fan and I did not view the firing as a big moment. It was more anticlimactic as he was dead man walking after the left that upper decker against the Packers coming off a bye week with no Aaron Rogers.

Not really.

Dan also mentioned that in his Score career, he has never taken all of his yearly allotted vacation days.

He must really, really love his job.

Don't most Americans leave vacation and PTO on the table?

Speaking for myself, hell no.

Just going by the people I currently work with, everyone takes all their vacation every year.

NYD was Hub and GG. Parkins/Speigs, Berns&Goff's replacement.

but NYD is different than taking some random day. The majority of working America has it as an off day and the children are still out of school

So is Biggs going to cry about going all the way up to Lake Forest with 24 hours notice for the press conference tomorrow?

Maybe he should just pack an overnight bag...I'm sure there's vacancies in the Courtyard Marriott off Lake-Cook and 94...

I stayed there Saturday night. I could have used a good quick light food rec at about 9:30.

There is a Residence Inn and a Hilton Garden Inn just over 294 from Halas Hall. It's the Rte 60 exit, not Lake Cook Rd, FYI.

Yeah, I own a car.

But that wasn't the premise for why 312 saw him there.

I assumed he was local, the place is tucked away in the woods.. Food is decent, Porkchop is phenomenal. My buddy swears he's seen a few whores working the bar in there and giving head in the parking lot.

In all my years out there I never have been in there. I always assumed it was that area's version of either a Wisconsin supper club or viagra triangle.

Maybe it was him.

I found it funny that in a thread teasing Biggs for not wanting to drive a long way, he allegedly lives in a certain area that is actually a long drive from his house.

My bad...I was thinking of Pfingston and Lake Cook.

You know, the North Suburbs are scary for south siders...figured he'd want to break up the drive a bit.

1pm presser, the bears were finally somewhat considerate to biggsy... better hope he can be on the road before3pm though because 294 gets messy fast

Most of these media guys live in the NW suburbs I'm sure. Not sure about Biggs.

I don't think the time matters today or most days. They were just bitching last week because it was New Years Day. They wanted to watch the college playoffs and go to their parties. Still, like I said last week, bitch to your wives. Not on twitter. Nobody cares. Except for Larry.

Yesterday during transition, Bernstein & Goff broke the news that Vic Fangio officially returned to the Bears as DC per a Tweet from Brad Biggs.

Seems that Biggs has not only blocked Harkins from his Twitter feed but the official midday show account and Spieg's account as well. Matt wondered why and Harkins joked guilt by association.
