Early in the show today Spiegel said they were getting sarcastic texts from people saying they are looking forward to interviews with Bulls' management that are gigglefests with softball questions. Spiegel cited their weekly interviews with Joe Maddon as proof those texters are idiots.

Parkins laughed off the texters telling Spiegel not to worry about it.

IIRC from comments on the board, Maddon thought Goff was a kind of a boob (asking him at one point "What are you laughing at?") and a little worn out by Spiegel trying too hard to prove how baseball-y he is.

I don't remember any comments about Maddon's appearances with Spiegel and Parkins.

Parkins just said Can't Do It didn't happen last week because there was more internal blowback about the segment. Who complained? Julie? Laurence? Goff?

Yea, Maddon snapped pretty quickly.

Please. They lovingly changed Maddon's Depends while they were asking him why Schwarber was still batting lead-off in May.

If anything got Julie, it was the question about the "Big. FAT. Phony." that Parkins gave out a prize on. I also think management might be realizing that when callers start taking all kinds of shots at on-air talent and others in the office, and the hosts tacitly confirm those shots with a "Can't Do It", egos are going to be hurt and calls to HR might eventually be placed. Of course this is completely without the understanding of the irony that MANY of those butthurt on-air talents LOVE taking shots at others.

Spiegel is one of the biggest pussies on the Score. Of course he is thin skinned.

Yea, Maddon snapped pretty quickly.

Absolutely happened. IIRC, Maddon's exact question to an excessive giggling Goff was, "What's so funny? !?".

I thought Spiegel was maturing with the presence of Parkins.

Launch that whiny fucker along with Goff.

I used to hate Spiegel when I only heard him in Transition but I really enjoy him with Parkins. He has some quirks but so does everyone.

It's nice it seems he actually cares about doing his job well, unlike MANY on SCR, but yeah, his whining is a bad look.

Which show did Maddon say something like "and why wouldn't he" to questions about whether Schwarber batting leadoff with no follow up about the considerable information that he was bad at that part of the batting order.
