Parkins solo has been good today. I feel like he holds a show down just fine when it's a bit more straight and less gimmick driven. They've squeezed every ounce of toothpaste out of "Can't Do It" and with the amorphous situation in the building right now, I'd be totally okay if they shot straight for awhile with the midday show.

I'm sure he can do it but it's a lot easier playing off somebody. Like I have said in the past,Lawrence is the best at going solo. He just doesn't mesh with anyone else.

No doubt it's much easier, but I think there's more meat on the bone with Parkins being with somebody less...sarcastic? Spiegs gets a lot of shit, how much of that is deserved is up for debate, but I don't think Spiegs is capable of a savvy discussion. Therein lies the debate: Does WSCR/sports radio in general need to maintain a healthy distance from a loosely-defined "journalistic/objective?" Does the format suffer if you cater too heavily toward the more fungal end of the demographic?

And yeah...this transition should be something.
