The early score was more lively with constant guests, interesting phone calls, hot topics of debate, and funny bits, brutal attacks on floundering teams. The borng ala m & p, b & m random, pointless chit chat for full segments would be rare. Turning the score off for pure boredom was rare like today. The early score took pride on not beiing saddled broadcasting teams to be able to speak frerly
. When they did get the Sox Mac bitched and moaned constantly about getting his show cut. Nobody was fearful of crossing the PC line and ignored other hosts like they do today with poison wacko Julie. The female hosts were highly respected and valued unlike Julie.
