Have you ever given your wife/significant other one? This was a thing today and Parkins wanted to stiff his wife.

Was this about giving your wife a gift while she's pregnant? I had never heard of it and they were already discussing it when I turned in.

Yes. It's the gift after she has the baby.

The gift is she doesn’t have to have sex with him for a good 8-12 weeks

Does the man get a push gift? His pushing led to the baby.

I bought a pendant off ebay for $14.95 and a ring off ebay for $25 when my kids were born. Both pieces contain their gemstones.

Thankfully this wasn't a thing until well after my sons were born. Being a foot servant with deep pockets for a month or two plus in each instance seemed thankful and gracious enough.

I once got my hooker a gift for the abortion. Same thing, right?

Condom broke. At least I didn't get AIDS. I considered it a win.

Guy is acting like such a dipshit about pregnancy having a kid... I almost believe it's just a bit. But it's the same guy who gave promotional gift cards as a wedding gift...

He did radio promos for a jewelry store for her engagement ring. He's a different type of dude. It comes off like he doesn't love his wife or he's selfish. If he were struggling financially then I would understand it.

I'll give you credit for admitting that. I got squirrelly around week 5-6.

My wife was a real sport. That’s probably why we’re still married.

:D

Parkins was talking about getting her a $5,000 ring. I almost called in to tell him they’d both be happier in the long run if they put that in a 529 the day the kids born.

I don't think you people fully understand what it's like to host a person in your body and live with some of the aftermath. It's difficult under the best of circumstances.

It's not like she won't push if you give her nothing.

I've had a few less-than-ideal missions on the can after which I definitely deserved a push gift.

These are ridiculous creations of this generation in the same vein as gender reveal parties. Every moment and memory needs an expensive ceremony in order to highlight just how special it is to the world. Take a picture or video rather than experience an event. GTFO with that.

Our narcissism has been unleashed like at no other time in human history.

Notice, these things never are a demand on the woman, always on the man. Equality (sometimes)!

It used to be a couple of coffin nails. Now it's just a softly spoken C3P0-like 'thank the maker' and then I just let myself pass out onto the cool, refreshing linoleum. Ah, life is good.

We had newborn pictures taken in the hospital, and I got a nice 5x7 frame and put one of her favorite pics of the little guy in it. She was pretty adamant about no gift, and I probably would have done something anyway. This was simple yet meaningful.

Spending more than $40 or $50 on one of these things is kinda silly. Expenses go up drastically with a baby around, and that money would be better served being used in a thousand other ways.

No group of people are more underappreciated. Father's are just expected to give.
