I go through times where I will like Bomani, and then times when I don’t.

I think sometimes he forgets that he’s actually just a sports nerd, and isn’t nearly as plugged into the leagues as former players or real reporters.

He's really not that wrong. After living and returning there for decades, I'll never really understand Atlanta and it's across the board love of everything associated with strip joints. And wings. I've been there a few times and couldn't believe the insanity about the wings. Even the women's parties there. Plus it was supposedly 7-8 pm. Nothing happens that early.

Atlanta being a destination for certain people who had to leave their hometowns, I suspect that, uh, "Lola" moments are plentiful. Talk about playing Russian roulette.

My college, in addition to being fairly close to a particularly rough project, was also a couple of blocks away from a tranny party and stroll area. On my first week there I'd figured that part out. By the weekend most of the guys in my dorm hadn't yet. A group decided one night that they wanted to go grab some beer and roam the area. Out of boredom I became the ringleader. I heard some party music blaring out from a club with windows you couldn't look into and something else that set off an alarm. I convinced those idiots to go in and check it out while I was going to run in a nearby store right quick. Of course all I really did was to find a spot where they couldn't see me when they ran out in terror. The rubes ran out, couldn't find me, realized that they hadn't paid attention to how to get back to the dorm and ran smack into a busy tranny hooker track.

My laughter from that night carried me through Halloween.
