They don’t want their “talent” to take the bait, and turn these attacks into a drawn out never ending twitter war that leaks into their programming where un-informed viewers are asking themselves wtf is Jalen Rose talking about?

The ESPN execs apparently put out mandates about shifting their content to sports centric in August.

The last thing they want is to further be viewed as SJW sports media central.

They know they are in a very delicate situation with cord cutting and streaming.

Any damage they take as far as losing viewers I’m sure won’t be tolerated.

I took Whitlock's point to be that for Nolan and her Woke Brethren, there is really nobody more deserving of criticism for benefitting from the existence of white privilege than Nolan herself, and for her to be free from said criticism points to....and he kinda seems to lose his train of thought after that. He could have meant to say that her not getting the criticism shows how hypocritical the Woke Crusaders he mentioned are, their silence on her privilege demonstrating how little they actually care about righting wrongs. He could also have meant that the lack of criticism aimed at Nolan show just how farcical the notion of "white privilege" is as a whole, because if there's anyone that's benefitting from white privilege, it is Nolan, yet the woke crowd is silent about it. He also could have just been calling Nolan a lazy hack because she clapped at him while perhaps forgetting that he saw her ply her trade at Fox Sports.

Sportscenter used to be a big franchise. It's nothing now. All of their pre and post game show are irrelevant, especially since College Gameday can't have crowds. ESPN is a sick and dying network.

The biggest point Whitlock makes is how Nolan has been whiny and entitled at ESPN. She complained that ESPN+ constrained her ability to build her show so they did her a favor and moved her to ESPN2. It failed there too and despite no official cancellation announcement it hasn't been on air in months now even though sports are back.

I read a bit about her today. She's from the DiCaro and Sarah Spain school. She was the "cool girl" to get hired and noticed. And as soon as she had a platform she did everything she could to criticize acting like that.
