If you mean to say that even if Mac had worded the joke to plainly be about the types of dress found at the AVNs, the joke would be meant to demean Taylor as a porn star because most people who dress like that at the AVNs are porn stars, then you must live in a world where no joke or musing is ever acceptable because of the far-reaching implications of the logic of the joke itself. In your world, I've called you promiscuous when I say that you "spend your money like a drunken sailor" because part of my joke likens you to a sailor, and sailors are also known to, ahem, dock their dinghiess in many a wharfs.

It seems clear he removed the tweet based on the backlash, deserved or not - that determination is a personal opinion, clearly, based on the debate here.

But, the action of deleting it doesn't necessarily indicate that he thinks he did something wrong - only that he understood that this is turning into something that he certainly didn't expect.

That's what got Skip Bayless into hot water recently. In fact, it's the last thing I heard Mac talk about on WSCR the other day. They were discussing Bayless's comments about Dak Prescott being soft and a bad leader because he said the pandemic had "depressed" him. Bayless's point was that clinical depression is real and serious and can be treated with drugs, but Prescott's depression was more of the garden-variety sadness that is completely natural when bad things happen to you, and is not the result of a chemical imbalance. Both Mac and Parkins called Bayless a troll and Parkins said his own therapist (?) said "situational" depression was just as real as "clinical" depression.
