This incident with Schefter has been the triggering event where nobody feels that they have to be polite to her anymore. He is a made man: he works his ass off, he has a sense of humor (pre COVID he would go on DLB and for an entire segment take calls only about the NBA, about which he was a knowledgable fan) and by any account he is a family man.

No. You give her too much credit. She wasn't much at the SCORE. Nobody left because of her. The dayparts are all that matter at the SCORE. Nights and weekends are given to producers and people like Julie. They just gotta kill time and break even with the advertisers in those slots. So the host gets 80 bucks. Producers gets 40 each. And the SCORE tries to get $130 out of ads. I guess it's a loss when you consider the rent, electricity, water bill, janitors and other expenses.

But that's why Shepkoski, Goff and Drinky have gotten these shifts through the years. They're happy to take them for nothing thinking they'll be big stars one day. Their bosses are always thinking "Cheap hosts".

She never deserved to be ripped more than for this column, what a pile of shit. She's so full of hatred and hostility that she will find any way possible to tear into someone, even if it is some innocuous joke on twitter from a person regarded as hard working and well liked. She's everything that is currently wrong with the media and society in general.

Personally, I disagree. Parkins said what he had to say regarding Mac's departure. I'm almost positive he ended his initial monologue with something to the effect of I would like to say more about this but I can't. I think in the last week or two, he was with Herron and they talked generally about directives from management that had to be followed on air.

The reason why morons like Julie feel empowered to write those kind of columns are because by and large guys like Parkins have enabled her to. If she had written that about Clay Travis he wouldnt be whining about " civil discourse" and lamenting how everything in society immediately goes to 11 on the outrage level. He'd be cheering it on right alongside her. As the follow up posters have stated, I dont remember his indignation over how his radio daddy and partner was given the exact same treatment by the mob because a) he was afraid to be seen defending him lest he be next and b) he in part agreed with it on some level based on how he's reacted in the past. So forgive me for not throwing bouquet's at him for finally one time taking her to task ( hours and hours after seeing it was safe to do so ) when she's been writing hit pieces like that for since he's been in town.
