I thought Brick just hammered him (in an unpersonal way) about that one out of bounds play in a Bears game. It was the only time I ever saw Chus beaten into submission. He ran into the master and lost. We have all been there.

Oh that’s right he said Pulte was crap because they used non union labor. His story was one of the foreman asked him to pick up trash or something in a garage, and it was not his job.

Regardless of union/nonunion, my Pulte house was the best construction of any house I ever owned. I owned it 17 years and had near zero problems. All of my other homes had cracked basement concrete and drywall from settling, creaky floorboards on the cat walks, and other annoying items.

We really did not tussle. I largely avoided getting in his crosshairs because he had a habit of following people from thread to thread.

I responded about my personal experience. Crazy enough, I was so amazed with the entire Pulte buying process, I wrote a long letter to the CEO.

Here are some things that happened:
-When I put money down, they gave me the closing date even though they had not broken ground yet. It closed exactly when that said. It was huge for me because I had a home prior that dragged out eight months longer than expected.
-The pre-walk through closing was amazing. They had music, snacks, drinks, and a dedicated closing agent that fixed every minor item on the spot that came up. No do list and see you in a week.
-At closing they left the documents on the table with the keys. Just sign and go. No hassles.
-The attention to detail was evident in the paint seams. It was perfect where wall met ceiling.
-Then 17 years of so construction issues.

So maybe Pulte sucks. But my experience was amazing.

This is 100% correct. He was the architect of a lot of pettiness on the board. He would send PMs to others in an attempt to keep his hands clean. Then milk any attacks sent in his direction. Even the Scorehead stuff was 100% bullshit.
