Bernstein was mad at reinsdorf for telling Benetti he’s not funny. Well, he’s not that funny. The score guys would have you believe he deserves and hour long stand up special on Netflix.

Jason was decent. He decided to leave. The next guy will probably be fine too. This is not a tragedy and Jason isn’t a victim. And most Sox fans are indifferent about it

The Benetti stuff is way over the top.

I agree. A lot of his jokes fall flat. Bernstein would have you believe that dumb people don’t get his humor. No. He’s just not that funny and he tries too hard to only fall flat.

you know I heard some of this on B & H yesterday or the day before, about what a monumental horrible mistake letting him walk away was and my immediate thought was that they were acting like the Sox lost a legend like Vin Scully or something. Granted I'm not a Sox fan and don't listen to or watch a ton of their games, and he seemed good but c'mon man, get over it already.

Right. That was my point. He was fine and he chose to leave. No big deal. And I also think Jason is high maintenance. I think he wanted his bosses to treat him like he was vin skully.

He probably was more of a problem employee than the narrative the score guys present.

Jason really cried about it saying “I guess I’m disgusting when I eat.” Yes, Jason. Everyone is disgusting when they’re shoving hot dogs and pizza’s down they’re throat. Everybody. Who the hell wants to watch people eat on tv. It was a reasonable request by your boss.

Jason has a niche following that is rabidly loyal to him. You see them at the across soxtalk as well. They can't comprehend that the majority of the world doesn't agree and become agitated at the suggestion. It's like one of these tv shows that doesn't get picked up for a second season with its few fans writing petitions to bring it back years after the cancellation.

Benetti is a dork, so some people feel he represents them.

I’ve always assumed Len just wanted to get the fuck away from the Marquee nerds and found a comfortable landing spot in the same city. Radio, tv, who gives a shit, just get away from people who make you wear a sportcoat to talk about men in pajamas running around in dirt.

Maybe there’s something to his professed love of radio, but I’m going to doubt little Lenny kasper grew up dreaming about announcing games for a 60 win team alongside Darrin Jackson on a dying medium.
