I never discussed it with Mike but I can easily see a scenario where he knew about the guys past troubles, and saw him as a guy just like himself that had finally hit the big time.

Webio could have been what Barstool has become...

North was past his prime by that point and the world wasn't exactly longing for the thoughts of Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini.

Curious Hair has been a poster on this board longer than Mike North was a host on the Score. Also weird to think about.

That's exactly right.

CH and I were big fans of the Five Neat Guys apparently.

Can you find a video from 2nd City TV CH of John Candy, dressed in a white coat saying..."It's true, the blood rushes to your tush and you die, it's true!!"

I don't know if you remember this but there was a brief window in between Later ending and Carson Daly starting, summer of '01, I think, where NBC just ran SCTV reruns after Conan. Little discoveries like that are something I miss about the pre-youtube, linear TV era.

I think North was a little deeper in webio than we are giving credit. Bee Bee was the general manager, having no experience or education in the area and Mike was the chief talent recruiter
