Paul Agase's unwillingness to pull the trigger on a move to reign in Mike led to the hiring of Mitch to finish what Harvey never started.

Did this cost North anything outside of a dent to his reputation? Being smart doesn't exempt you from fuck ups. IIRC, Harvard Jiggetts was in on this as well. North's biggest fuck up was not seeing the decline of the industry.

Desperation, anger, greed, ego, etc can blind the smartest men too. I didn't like the politics thing, but we both know people like to have their thoughts validated, particularly by someone they liked and respected. North was that guy for MANY sports radio listeners.

Edit: If perfection is the bar for high praise, we're all going to fall short, even in the areas we're "experts".
