Per Darren in Tinley...

It was a hoot being on their show. I thought North did what he's expected to do by asking about the next gig and the "dannymac.com" thing was an appropriate question. Mike correctly recalled me telling him about launching my own website ; he just didn't remember the name of the site. The site I have is "dannymacshow.com" but I'm keeping it under construction until I settle into the next job.

It felt like an old "transition" segment from the first seven years at the Score. For those who missed those, North and Jiggetts would BS with Boers and me between 2 and 2:15. Many felt that was the best chunk of the day on the Score. Sometimes it was very good. Sometimes it was four guys talking at once. It had en element of fun and camaraderie that seems to be lost these days. We had a real good "team" chemistry at ESPN the last two years, but there never was a chance at "transition" segments because the local shows didn't follow each other. We did it for a while with Carmen/Hoody, but that changed when "Post Game" arrived... along with "PTI."

"Monsters In The Morning" is better produced than a lot of local sports magazines. I think it's a good mix of television and radio on television. When we talked about Kyle Orton, "B-roll" on Kyle Orton ran so it wasn't just talking heads (love "Life During Wartime" and "And She Was.") The transitions from Jen to the Monsters were fairly smooth. It's not going to win an Emmy, but it is much "cleaner" than that Ch. 5 Sunday night abortion was after an entire football season to work out the Kinks (love "Low Budget" and "Stop Your Sobbing," and "Superman.")

Jiggetts is likeable and I had not seen him in ages. Always did like spending time with him. And he always has been able to take my/our teasing him, "Put 'em hoooold," "Hmmmm. Good maaaaan," very well.

2:00-2:15 back in the day used to be one of my favorite times on the Score.

I have some old transitions on cassette I'd love to put online, but don't know how (I was absent the day they taught Computer Science at Western Illinois University.) If anybody here is computer savvy, PM me.
