God forbid we have a few laughs on a Friday. If you got something funnier, send it in.

Agreed, the song parodies are not funny and not good...unless, of course, you are an ALSer.

When you're a mult and are pushed into a corner just throw up a cartoon because that sez it all. Good work Mags about what I expected from a tired old rehashed multclown. When you have so many mults you going to run out of creativity and it's finally cathing up to you.

I'm not a mult nor am I gay, and I agree, the song parodies have always been bad, not funny, and instantly PTFB-worthy. They were bad during the MJH days and they are bad now. Didn't bits like this die in the 80's?

The only laughs the Mac show gets are from Mac & Meat.

Bump

I love the show and song parodies guys, but so far it's been style over substance.

They've been well produced and Spiegs' has a great voice, but nothing has made me laugh so far...which I thought was the whole point.

The Aromushadu parody sounded pretty good, but not one LOL for me. :| It rhymed and everything, but it just didn't do anything for me.

The parody songs when Mac was up the dial weren't anywhere near as well produced, but they were usually pretty damn funny. I know you guys can do better than this.

yeah, there has been little funny in the parodies except Rios, which was more clever than funny.
kinda defeats the purpose....

I happened to catch the Aromashadu parody. I thought it was well done, though the "both guys are named Devin" slip-up was pretty egregious.

I appreciate song parodies if they're done well. Someone did a Wood/Prior take on "Love and Marriage" back on the old Murph show and I thought it was pretty funny. Matt's musically inclined and a clever guy, so these come out nicely. I've heard some bad sports-related song parodies. When they're bad, they're painful. Remember the Packerena?

On another musical note (hey hey), I really enjoyed the comparison of the Jordan Bulls to the Kind of Blue lineup. Cannonball Adderley namedrops validate me as a sports radio listener, and then I don't feel so bad about listening to WSCR when I could be listening to, well, Kind of Blue.

What about getting Russ Mitera to do some parodies for your show? The stuff he does for Mully and Hanley on the "Big Doug" segment is frequently hilarious. Russ seems like he's an under-utilized resource at the Score.

Was thinking the same thing Friday listening back to some of those Big Doug songs. Those are funny, really like the one to Vanilla Ice.

Is that the guy who did the Gerry DiNardo theme?

Sure is.
