What nutritionist says eating a full meal at 11:00 p.m. and plopping straight into bed isn't bad for you? Just caught the tail end of this little nugget, so I may have missed something.

I think he was trying to say that total caloric intake is all that matters regardless of the time of day the calories are consumed. If you are at a caloric deficit then you will lose weight technically, but I have never seen any evidence to suggest one consume a large meal before sleeping.

So if you work out all day and eat next to nothing, but then eat at night you will be ok?

Well, the Japanese physiology must be different because thats what Sumo wrestlers have been doing for centuries.

I will stay out of this discussion for obvious reasons.

I can say with certainty that eating cookies all day will assist in gaining weight.

I used to not function without breakfast...had to have something before work...now I'm heading in on nothing more than a can of pop. Usually snack on something at 9AM and have lunch at noon...snack when I get home around 2:30...dinner at 5...snack again sometime later...and another snack even later if I'm still up....
