I really can't understand why so many people hate him.

But then, I don't understand why anyone like McNeil or Speigel.

Maybe I have a broken radio.

Eh, I'm 25 years old, I don't like classic rock, I don't like hockey, and I don't have an autistic child or gout.

That pretty much precludes me from having any interest in 95% of what McNeil has to say, right?

Or do I just magically happen to tune into the show only on occasions when he discussing those things?

I can't believe there is this many people out there that really like Holmes. I would seriously rather listen to 2 hours of Mully's fake laughter.

Lawrence has a general vibe that I like.

Defining what appeals to you in a radio host is a pretty subjective thing.

LoHo sounds like one of my friends, like someone I would enjoy talking to.

I'm sure that is why McNeil appeals to those of an older set. He doesn't sound like their father. Those same people don't like Lawrence because they think he sounds like the punk kid down the street their daughter is interested in.

You can't have an entire radio station made up of 40-60 year old white guys. Sure, that is most of your demographic, but you need to have something in there for the rest of us.

LoHo is that for me.

I am in my 30s. I dont think LoHo sounds like a punk kid or like a friend I would talk to, but more like an idiot that has kissed enough ass to get a spot and usually ends up just repeating things he thinks are like Bernsie.

That they only put him on the radio because he has sucked up to management?

I don't think he sounds arrogant at all, but if he does, I can only surmise it's because the vast majority of the people calling into sports talk radio stations are complete buffoons.

Everyone has different tastes.

I'm sure the Afternoon Saloon or Waddle and Silvy are genuflecting before the brainless masses on their shows when LoHo is filling in for daytime talent.

They sent Mac home with time still left on his deal, and essentially paid him for not working. Why didn't they keep him around until his contract was up? That's pretty much the argument people here are using for Loho getting airtime. Shouldn't the same apply to Mac?

I root for LoHo. He's like the kid in the PG-13 movie that you really hope is going to make it. He comes through sometimes. Sometimes he doesn't.

But I agree they need some guys that don't remember the '70s.

Pretty good analogy. He is better hosting alone where he is more himself, a little different, but likeable. When he is with another host he becomes the the kid in the pg13 movie that is nerdy and hangs out with the cool kids doing stupid stuff trying to impress them. He is Ronnie Miller.

Larry is not the punk kid down the street in any neighborhood. He's more like the 30 year old kid down the block living with his parents who battles the evil forces of the Emperor in his basement with his home built light saber.

By the way, Larry is 35.

He is a guy that thinks when he does nerdy stuff, that makes him cool. Comics? Age 35? Hey Larry, those guys are just nerdy. If you like it fine, don't try and make it sound cool? and exchnaging Valentine day gifts with your mom at age 35. That would be a mommas boy fringing on being a bit gay. IMHO

Terry is one of the few guys that know his time will come to an end soon. He wants to see the producers get a shot. Guys like Mac and Bernstein probably only want to have guys on the air that have no chance to take their jobs.

That's crazy. When they get let go it's because of something they've done, economical, ratings, or something like that. I see every few people ever being able to take their job, least of all drinky or Goff.

That has absolutely no basis in truth. Mac has pushed his producers for bigger and better things from the time he started at the station. Don't you remember the battle with Harry over having an intern park his car?
