Sorry for all of the questions.

It'a a 20 cent bet that is normally a jackpot. That means the only way the entire amount is paid out is if there is a single discrete winner. Otherwise half is paid out to the holders of the winning tickets and the other half is rolled to the next day. Today there is a mandatory payout, no rollover. So if you have never bet it before you have the benefit of having the pool seeded with a bunch of square money. There will be a very low effective takeout or possibly a positive expected value.

Thanks

That's frustrating. Vekoma laid an egg in his last race and his recent works were not spectacular. GP is a long way from Keeneland. Trainer only 10% 90+ Days Away.

I can't fault myself for trying to beat him at a 2-1 price.

Don't know how the other handicappers feel about it...the Rainbow 6 or any other "Jackpot" is a bit of ruse...you're facing not just a bunch of JORR's but rather huge groups that are able to put together huge tickets...the pool will be enormous, far greater than the published (around 3.2 mil now)...but you need to pick six straight winners which even for the most seasoned handicapper is quite the challenge...very rarely do you see these payouts on mandatory days as being life changing...rather spend my money elsewhere

I never play it except on mandatory payout days. On a day like today we're getting to play for $1.6 million in free money.

I think this is a bad favorite in the 4th at Oaklawn. I've watched this whole meet very carefully and Talamo has had a lot of problems getting horses out of the gate. No way this guy should be 4/5 in here. I'll be looking to the 7 and 8.

I'm not saying that was my most important consideration. Just pointing to the drop-off in form, and yes, I know it was last year.

He was fair value at best at 2-1. No guarantee he was going to defeat that field.

I was against Vekoma as well, but I was wrong...wish the 10-He Hate me could've finished off but was a bit overbet

Also, because I think this is a last gasp for racing now, did dive into the P4 Pool 24812/6/4689/9/13789/579 despite my earlier and more logical self

So much for that.

Moving right along, I'm going to take a crack with Satellite at Oaklawn. The numbers are a little light but the last was better than it looked. I think Diodoro may have him cranked for this one.

Absolutely not. They should crack him and Broberg next.

I'm looking for the front end to fall apart in the next one at Oaklawn. Caliente Candy should be pickin' 'em up and layin' 'em down late. 7 to win. 7-5 exacta.
