Gulfstream Race 1: I've been waiting for Elusive Ruler to get on the grass. He's a little light on figs but I expect a BIG improvement on the lawn. He should be in a good spot to run them down in the stretch.

Oaklawn Race 5: Long Range Toddy is going to have to step up his game here, but I'm sure they weren't all out with him in his last and were trying to set him up for this spot.

Oaklawn Race 11: In the first Arkansas Derby split it's going to be very tough to beat Charlatan. With the scratch of Shooter's Shoot he should have everything his own way on the front and just jog around the track.

Oaklawn Race 12: This is a great race. By My Standards and Tacitus are serious animals. It's been a long time since Bravazo won a race but he's coming into this one the right way. He's run the highest 9 furlong fig in this field and has 2 of the top four figs at the distance. Going for the downs with this one today.

Oaklawn Race 13: Nadal looks beatable in this spot. I'm hoping for a real pace meltdown here. The two horses I'm looking at are Silver Prospector and Farmington Road. I like Farmington Road a little better. He was shuffled a couple different times in his last race and he made a big move that was even better than it looks on paper. A real shot in here if he gets any kind of pace to run at which it looks like he should.

Good luck, gentlemen!

I like Farmington Road, too. Watched tape of him this morning and was impressed by his late kick.

He has a chance, but Gouverneur Morris may be too good. Looked like Secretariat in the T.B. Derby.

The Gouverneur is in the first division with Charlatan.

Got mixed up. I meant King Guillermo. That horse just flew down the stretch in the Tampa Derby.

I'm going to predict the 1/9 horse wins this next race.

Hit the single in the P5, so happy with that. Could be the first Derby winner to win a race on the first Saturday of May but not the KY Derby.

wrong on that one...but here in the 13th I see Nadal et al making a fast pace and the 10-Farmington Rd or 7- Silver Prospector running them down...not the 1st one to choose the 10 in this race...good luck

So many 20 to 30-1 shots busting exactas and tri-fectas yesterday. Ridiculous.

Then Nadal goes from being a mid 90s horse as a far as final speed figs to holding off a Tampa Bay Derby winner down the stretch, who was rock solid in LP. Impressive that he did that, when it looked like King Guillermo had him.

Did hit the cheap exacta, though.
