If Tiz the Law wins the next 2, it can't be considered a Triple Crown in any way, can it? Part of the Triple Crown to me is the endurance and then finishing it off by having to win at a mile and a half monster track. All within 5 weeks.

Yeah, it will definitely have an asterisk whether it's a literal one or not. But in some ways it may be more difficult. Maintaining form over the entire summer is tough and he's going to have a race in between.

I don't see what the problem would be, 3 races is 3 races. If he sweeps em..he is a triple crown winner. It's gotta be 15 degrees warmer in the derby this time of year as opposed to May as usual.

He'd be called a Triple Crown winner but his accomplishment wouldn't be the same as others. The 12 furlongs is the Test of Champions. This year's Belmont wasn't even at the classic distance (10 furlongs). It was at a prep distance and on a huge track where 9 panels is a glorified sprint.
