Will be taking the Post Kids to some pony action this friday. Would appreciate any tips from the sharps on the board.

Caveat, due to swimming lessons we will likely not arrive until 7:30 which means we will miss the first two races at a minimum, so although picks for those races will be appreciated as it relates to the effort, I likely will not be able to wager on said picks.

Thanks in advance to all.

I started to work on this but it looks like they're canceled.

Thursday was cancelled, looks like SHRP is a full go for tonight.

Post some winners, need to pay the heating bill this month. Remember will not get there before the third race at the earliest.

The 1 looks strong in the 5th race.

In the 7th the 1 will almost certainly be on the front, but I'm not crazy about how close his races are spaced. I think there's a good chance for the 6 or 7 to pounce.

I have to say, nothing really excites me about this card, though.

I would be speculating as I haven't been paying attention to that circuit...but can I throw this out there?

Think about playing the “Will Pays”…I don’t know if I can communicate this well, but I’ll try

An hour before you walk in, prior to the 1st race, there will be a wagering pool called the “Pick 3” where one tries to pick the correct winners in races 1,2 and 3…after the first two races, only people who have selected the winners in races 1 and 2 now hold live tickets and there is a readout (Will Pay Pick 3) that tells you what the payouts are for each horse in this race…the lower the payout the more popular a horse is in this 3rd race (at least in this pool).

Now, if you flip over and look at the “live” odds for this 3rd race (which are not tied to the P3 Pool) if all goes accordingly, the most popular horses in the Will Pays, are the most popular horses in the live wagering…but often times it isn’t that way…

in the 3rd tonight the 6-Fetching is the m/l favorite at 8/5…she may get over bet (she will) and of the remaining top Will Pay P3 picks, one of them may be forgotten, and their price, for the 3rd, will be quite high…even though an hour ago that horse was considered a top pick…

and therein lies the value…at 9-1 $2WPS wager will cost $6 but could pay 5 times that…and you never even looked at a program…regardless enjoy the time with the family…I’m sure this will create memories

I think I can positively (negatively?) say that I have never won money at Sam Houston - just cheap horses that never run true to form - lot of big fields and traffic issues. There and Evangeline I tend to stay way from - just not lucky there.
