He cut himself running into a fence which delayed the start of his career. He obviously has physical/recovery time issues which is why his races have been spaced so far apart. The conformation that makes him so fast may also lead to soundness issues. I also think he may have bad feet.

Anyway, all the sharp guys were betting against him in the Breeder's Cup Future pool over the weekend. He went from late December to early June to early September and now he's gonna have to come back in nine weeks. The thinking is that he's no cinch to make the gate in the Classic. And he doesn't need to. If he isn't ready, Sadler won't start him. They can go to the Pegasus or Saudi Arabia or Dubai.

I loaded up on Art Collector at 67/1 and Madaloun at better than 100/1. They don't have to make the gate either, but if they do, they'll be a lot shorter than that.

I have a hard time seeing a three year old winning the Classic this year. To me the worst bet on the board- worse than Flightline at 4/5- was Epicenter at 7/1. You're likely to get close to that on race day and you don't have to sweat the next two months waiting for him to get there.

At work today we had an outside service provider in for a meeting. During the meeting I rolled out “Jeans Jacket Joe” as a hypothetical person in a transaction.

Then the outside service provider used Jeans Jacket Joe in his hypothetical!!!!!!!
