Was going to point out the 12/1 ML on the 10-New Beat in the 4th here...Sire wins 20% with 1st timers and his mama already has a stakes winner...Reylu Gutierez is the Fairgrounds best jock right now...unfortunately great minds think alike, as his price has plummeted

In The Risen Star I think the speed will come from the 5-Harlocap and the 13-Victory Formation...I disagree about Harlocap, I don't think he wants to go that long...and I don't see anyone going wire to wire...the 12-Crupi will get a nice stalking trip, has posted some decent speed numbers...the 14-Private Creed hasn't run on dirt, but could figure in the money, even from that post...they spent a ton of money on the 8-Tapits Conquest and hasn't done anything wrong, could be sitting on a big run 2nd off layoff..both the 9-Curly Jack and the 4-Determinedly have questions about going this distance...Rivelli's 10-Two Phils fits very nicely

Two Emmy's is one hell of a horse...purchased for 4K and has amassed nearly 1 million...put away the competition

Saw that horse live at Arlington and a guy I know from a horse racing discord’s wife bet to win at 23-1 odds. She won like $500 that day on just names. I never ever have had that happen.

Had the big prices...just the wrong horses...although based on the field size and prices I thought the payoffs were light...

I'll be back tomorrow..

and keep your eye on trainer Glatt out West

I had Harlocap and Two Phil's.

Felt good coming out of the far turn but that last 1/16 mi. was too much.

I haven't seen anything that can beat Arabian Knight. Other than him this looks like a pretty common bunch.

I know the guy who bred and still owns part of Two Phil's. This is a real honest horse. But I don't think there's any way he can get 10 panels. This is probably a once in a lifetime horse for people like this though. I guess you have to take your shot at the Derby, but I think the Pat Day would be a really good spot for him. The Derby Trail is new territory for Rivelli. I think Loveberry has ridden the horse perfectly.

Brad Cox has a bunch of good three year olds, but I think the best one is a horse that broke his maiden at the Fairgrounds on Saturday, Bishops Bay. There isn't enough time for him to make the Derby, but I believe he could be a player in the Preakness and beyond.

#3 Red Route One in the Rebel.

The horse is class in the race, albeit slightly, but has the most late speed.

If you believe in Arabian Knight, then Red Route is next best after rallying to get 2nd in the Southwest.

No Lasix today (that goes for you dopes, too) at Oaklawn...I like the 5-Giant Mischief running them down late...half the group is carrying 122 lbs., the other half (including the 5) is only carrying 117 lbs...Win bet

Certainly one of the best performances this year...but I see him as more of a sprinter...Cox doesn't need to push him, his barn is full

Confidence Game should outrun his odds. Jimmy Graham giving up a day at FG to ride.

Red Route One robbed by interference from the #10

Good job, JORR, anyway.

I crushed that race. If 14 takes the nightcap I've had a day for the ages.

Saturday Fountain of Youth at Gulfstream...among others at Santa Anita and NY...grandkids coming in so throwing this crap out early

Race 10 GP Mile is a one turn affair…7-Charge It 4/5 on the morning line, 4YO son of Tapit has 2 wins and 2 2nd's here in 4 starts, but I’m looking for value…the 1 will take the early lead and be joined by the 9-Nitrous Channel who has sprinter speed and can take advantage of the pace, the 1-turn, and should get a perfect trip…I also really like the 8-O Captain (who only comes out to play on really big days) to mow them down late at a huge price

8-9/5-7-4

Race 14 Fountain of Youth…kind of a dud when it comes to producing Derby horses…Orb won this and went on to win the Derby, ten years ago…but only 1 starter in the last 3 years…4-Forte will be really cheap, and will be coming late…looking for value again elsewhere…8-Rocket Can was a great choice by someone here (Rube?) but will have to improve on that effort last out…7-Mage debut was stunning, and has the pedigree get the 1 1/16 distance and solid morning tabs…the 1-General Jim gets the rail and was impressive in the Swale…speed numbers increasing

7-1-4-9

Gotham Stakes Saturday...don't profess to know a lot about this circuit...will that stop me from making a wager?...uh, no...

my early favorite on this Derby trail is Pletcher's Tapit Trice..Slip Mahoney (don't have a number) nearly beat him two starts back...think he might jump at a price

Fountain of Youth: I think Forte is going to be very tough in here. He's absolutely legit. Three time Grade 1 winner working lights out. I believe Shadow Dragon may be the better of the two Mott horses and I expect him to take another step forward. If I play the race it will probably be a cold exacta with Forte on top of Shadow Dragon. We'll see what it's paying.

San Felipe: I'm gonna say the only horses that can win this race are National Treasure, Hejazi, and Skinner. I expect Hejazi to go right to the front and bury this field. Tomorrow is the day he starts justifying his sale price.

Gotham: Best betting race of the year. I'll be hunting a price in this one. I'm gonna start with Raise Cain getting back to the dirt. Also, Transect and Clear the Air coming in from Turfway. I think the prices will be there with these horses coming off the rubber.

Battaglia: Clear the Air is cross-entered here and also eligible for this. I'm not sure if they shipped to New York or stayed in Florence Y'all hoping to scratch in. If he goes here, this is a good spot for him. The other horse I'm looking at in here is Moon Landing.

Big Cap: There Goes Harvard should be live as hell here. This is the right distance for him and they almost certainly weren't trying in the Thunder Road off 189 days. Second off the layoff, I'm looking for him to bursticate.

This is a family thread, pal, and I'm going to ask you to watch you language.

I'm also going to need you to define bursticate.

The FOY was the 1st big race that was simulcast wagering
