penultimate Friday

Race 1 older Maidens…experience matters here, only 3 of 55 winners were “firsters”…4-Halmstad ran well here two weeks ago and popped a bullet in between…cheap though

Race 2 might take a while to finish…glacier pace the 3 will be the deserved favorite bu t I like both the 7 and the 9 at a big price

Race 3-Turf 1 1/16…these maidens go in a large field and the 5-Saltwater Taffy ran well at Kentucky Downs, but got beat by a filly headed to the Breeders’ Cup…the 11-Moonlight Gambler will be overbet off her Graded Stakes effort last out…the 8-Celtic Charm could score on debut for trainer Walsh…her daddy, Justify, has sired winners left and right…and his purchase prices for his yearlings at the recent Fasig-Tipton auction were sky high…hard to bet against these days

Nice damn call in Race 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Race 6 the 5 Haystack…bred to run all day…fought pace last out Prat…they lose blinkers and she runs them down…the 3-Mirabella gets Gafflione for Pletcher…the 6-Shalabyia also fit (currrent favorite is the 4)

7th Race salty group…9-Chop Chop probably favorite…ok but here is the key, and it is a wonderful story…Armando Hernandez, trainer out of Illinois has come to Keeneland this fall with 4 horses…the 3 he ran all won, easily and at nice prices…he saddles the 1-Cotton Candy Andy at a m/l of 20-1…also the 6-She’s looking lucky

8th G3 race…last 17 times on turf this race only 1 favorite out of 17 won…look for a price…7-Speirlin Beag 12-1 in a good spot…and the 8-Bling fits at 15/1 ml, as does the 6-Secret Money with Walsh and Gafflione

Race 9..landed on the 7-Youalmosthadme, 3-HotBeach and the 1-Field Lass

Race 10 stat-22 out of 76 races…winners in this type of race (fall meet) at over 10-1 odds…16 of those were stretching out…don’t overvalue horses that have gone the distance, somewhat counter intuitive…spreading to the 4,7,9,3 and 5

working on an affordable P5 ticket

input?

In tomorrow's feature race, the Fayette Handicap, keep an eye on 3-King Fury. He seems below on class and maybe he can't beat a field like this, but in his last, coming off a 222 day layoff, he was full of run without ever being asked. Granted, it was a MUCH softer field, but there's a lot of intent going into this race and Kenny "Two-Turn" McPeek has been hot as a pistol. He'll be a big price and should blow up the ticket even if you only use him underneath. It will take his absolute best along with a pace meltdown (I think that's reasonably likely here) to win.
