i'm 95 pct sure that horse is fine. Personally I think he was a tired horse running his 3rd race in 5 weeks and with the change in training from the hoof, he came up empty. I wouldn't be surprised if he bled either.

Shit like this happens all the time in horse racing.

You hit it on the head. No way that the jockey is going to risk harming this breedable beast for a shot at coming in third. You just hand ride him and in this situation, he's not going to get fined for not riding him hard because they know that there are literally millions of dollars at stake.

When Kent pulled him up, he was not going to get a check. I think he was 7th and the other horses were about to pass him anyway. At the end of the day, if he was questioned, all he's got to say is I thought the horse was in trouble and everyone will nod their heads.

Good thing they got their 50M already.
