I understand Ddman's position, but have zero issues with the beginning banter. This can be molded nicely into weekly lead in of non bored stuffs...02.

Mrs. beni hanna is listening is as she does her hairs. The dog story is generating some feelings I was not anticipating. May have to listen to these G rated podcasts in silence next time.

Where does a person send a SASE to receive a written transcript of an episode, and does reading it count towards community service? What about if someone reads it to me?

I didn't have any control over it. That's just what happened to the dog.

We did have 25 wild cats and I spent 2 years taming one of them. Hours per day. She became Mother Cat. Had about 10 kittens per year. Most of them died. So, I guess you get a bit thick-skinned.

Plus when you raise cattle and hogs, maybe you lose the perspective others might have.

If the dog I'd had for 10 years had gotten run over, I'd have different emotions about it.

Kind of feel bad I put that in there but one thing I want this podcast to be is real. So, that's real.

I grew up on farms too. Bred hogs, tipped cattle. Didn't make me a monster. How many animal-related felonies have you committed?

Somewhat surprised by leash's dog deal, unless a bit. I didn't work a farm, but friends with farms clearly had a different experience. Dogs and cats on farms had a different life too. Nothing about the story seemed out of place.

Still think some comparative story of farm life vs. citifide life in some way would be an interesting story. May move a little too slow for this crowd, but who knows.

My wife and I had many discussions before we got our dog.

I don't really believe in "inside dogs". I think dogs should be allowed to run. Bring them inside a couple times per day and when it's really cold.

I was overruled.

Yeah, that shit happens wherever you are.

edit...this is not a denigration of women statement. Rather pointing out the rather common practice of acquiescing to one's better half. It must be done to keep peace.

I would have thought tales of my childhood Christmas puppy being run over by a truck might have garnered a bit more sympathy.

Thanks for listening.

He sounds decidedly middle aged to me, but he says things that make him seem old. Great voice, a real nice listen.

I finished the episode this morning and have determined what I like about these. The guys are just being real. When they talk, I find myself nodding my head in agreement or completely understanding where they are coming from. It's not some contrived angle to arouse the listener or a fake argument so that guys line up on opposite sides. There's story telling. Genuine experiences.

The guys mentioned Lakemoor Fest. Planning ahead, they should have a podcast created at Lakemoor Fest 2017.
